Potential Energy

This is Eric, recharging his batteries after spending the night having a great time being as rowdy as possible. It's too chilly for him to go outside, so he chooses to sleep all day and discharge his energy during the night.

Sunday, December 14, we woke up to snow and cold after having a beautiful Saturday. The low for Sunday was minus 19 degree Fahrenheit.

I made sure the feeders were full, which the finches seemed to appreciate.

Here we have the winds but so far none of the precipitation or cold. So far.

What is it with animals and the need to sleep all day and be rowdy all night?! Our three dogs have been especially obnoxious lately. ;p

  2. Oh, I love the birds! We have a resident song sparrow who hops around our courtyard all day. I toss out seed for him, and we have a heated outdoor bubbler for the birds...

    So nice to see them!

  6. Pretty. You are probably used to all that white. I however, here in so called "sunny" Southern California, am not. We haven't had this much snow here in the High Desert in many years. And I just went to get water for my African Grey only to discover that the pipes have frozen. Waaahhhhh!
