A few years back, I discovered Christi Friesen's wonderful work, and shortly thereafter, her tutorials on how to create dragon shapes, imbed stones and beads into polymer clay, etc. I then dug out my huge tub of polymer clay a made myself and little dragon pendant.
The bodies and wings incorporate lots of loops and swirls, which I've always been drawn to so making these came very naturally to me. I liked it so much, I wanted to make more and sell them. Even though none are direct copies of Christi's work, they are done in her style so I asked permission and Christi gave me the OK to sell, so I made some more to sell at an SCA event. I still have a few, so I thought I'd put them up in my Etsy shop.
These little dragons are pretty big for pendants, ranging in size from 2 to 3 1/2 inches. Some have glass beads and some have semiprecious stones in them. Some of the eyes are hematite, some are a very deep red garnet and some are tigereye.
